The only thing that is powerful enough to change your current
mind-set and to break down the strongholds that have been
there for years and years is the Word
of God.
More than anything else, your own time with God, praying and reading the Bible, will make you see yourself as He sees you: as a victorious overcomer, as more than a conqueror, as a prince or princess...as a beloved child of God and a joint heir with Jesus Christ!
God will reveal to you His plan for your life and will help you get started with your self-directed learning. The best way to start any endeavor is by preparing for it in the spirit first.
It's like sharpening your knife. While you are whetting it, you're not cutting anything at all, but, once you start working with that sharp knife, you'll advance much faster than with a blunt one.
If you already are a Bible-reading Christian, but you are not living a victorious life, you probably need a good portion of solid food. Stop living at the level of fallen man! You are entitled to a life of blessing. That is what redemption is all about.
Step out and develop your faith, keep on growing, there is always more of God for all of us! BUT: If you want to go to another level you will have to eat at another level. Sometimes we have to learn to eat things we didn't like as a child if we want to grow into adulthood.
Personally, we lived our Christian walk for more than 10 years in ignorance of who we were, what we had, and what we could do in Jesus Christ. Once these revelations came, our faith started working and our lives changed dramatically!
